The Tropics

The Tropics is artist Lila Hudgins' primary body of work . It is a collection of original oil (and certain acrylic) paintings that Lila creates based on her life in Central America, where she spent the majority of her life, and where she calls home. For this work, Lila draws on the culture, climate, and flora of the tropics, creating intricate plant-scapes, surf scenes, and semi-abstract and idealized beach paintings
